DRV5032: DRV5032 vs MRMS201A in terms of sensitivity

Hello, hotline!

My customer uses MRMS201A as a reed switch (smth like button we don't have to push).

I offered to consider DRV5032 instead. They tried samples and its sensitivity is worse than sensitivity of MRMS201A - 4.5 mT against 2.5-3 mT.

Is it possible to improve DRV's sensitivity?

Unfortunately there is no way to improve the DRV5032’s magnetic field sensitivity.

Anastasia,

The closest device we have to these specs is the DRV5032DU, with a magnetic threshold of 2.5-3.9mT. To ensure reliable operation however, it is recommended that the maximum (3.9mT) be met every time.
