Hi, im creating this footprint library on eagle , and i would like to know how i can make the center cutout, its dimensions depends on the application ?, the cutout is the same for all applications or is apart from footprint library , and i have to create it especifically in the pcb layout ?

    Hi Juan,

    The cutout will restrict the field of view of the sensor so smaller cutout or thicker FPCB will give lower performance. The FPCB manufacturer capabilities also determine what size cutout is able to be done. We have a FOV performance simulator here www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware

    What is the reason for using OPT3007 over OPT3001? We recommend OPT3006/7 for applications where space is very constrained and offsets the extra manufacturing precision needed to cut a good cutout.
