DCA1000EVM: Changing IP/ MAC address at DCA1000EVM

Hello,

My customer need the procedure to change the DCA1000EVM IP & MAC address, (they are not using radar studio, hence they can connect to multiple cards in parallel)

They need the protocol commands that perform the change of MAC / IP

To be exact they need the DCA1000EVM CONFIG_EEPROM_CMD_CODE (OPCODE 4) parameter structure

Hi,

We are still working on this to get the answer. To make sure your request, in the DCA1000 user guide, table 13 and 14 lists the example using RESET_FPGA_CMD_CODE. What you need is the same for CONFIG_EEPROM_CMD_CODE, correct?

Hi,

My customer is also interested in how to change DCA1000 EVM ip/mac address. In DCA1000 EVM user guide, it says updated EEPROM command is needed. How to send updated EEPROM command to DCA1000 EVM FPGA? Using setup DCA1000 EVM in mmwave studio with SW2 is positioned at 6 (pin6)?

Michelle,

The customer has managed to overcome these issue (at least for now), right now they are looking for the DCA1000EVM schematics in order to address the following issue.
While using the 60 pin header, we are unable to operate in master mode (single mode works), we suspect it related to wiring on sync signal at DCA1000EVM PCB, we need schematics of the DCA1000EVM to understand the problem.

Hi Shai,

I will request the schematics. In the meantime, we can help you better by understanding more of the test. It seems customer is using cascade mode? Can you provide more details on the hardware connection of the boards? Are you using mmwave studio 1.0.0.0 to control?

Hi Michelle,

They are not using the mmwave studio, they are using RFISee control software that controls all AWR1243,

Radar studio 1.0.0.0 is used to verify system integrity, they suspect that in master mode, DCA1000EVM block the trigger signal, so no frame is are coming, they need to disconnect this signal in the DCA1000EVM, therefore the schematics for that is needed.
