IWR1443BOOST: Benefits of using the Devpack

Hi team,

 

We had a customer ask what exactly is the benefit of getting/using the IWR1443BOOST + Devpack combo versus just using the boosterpack?

 

I see in the Devpack users guide “provides more interfaces and PC connectivity to the mmWave sensor EVM. It provides an interface for the Radar Studio”.

 

Can you not connect to Radar Studio without it? What additional functionality does the Devpack add?

 

What exactly can just the boosterpack do on its own without a Devpack or an MCU Launchpad?

    Dev Pack is used extensively where raw data capture is required. It is also required in order to use Radar Studio. It is not required for any of the labs on the TI-Resource Explorer.

    If you want to discuss your application more then we can recommend if mmWave-DEVPACK is appropriate for evaluation.
