IWR1642BOOST: IWR1642BOOST with and without the sticker ES2.0.

At the above location a sticker labeled ES2.0 is mentioned. It is mentioned that only IWR1642BOOST  devices with that sticker, can run SDK version 2.0.

Is there a NEW part number for IWR1642BOOST that has the ES2.0 sticker ?

If so what is the exact part number for the IWR1642BOOST that has that sticker?

What are the H/W differences that distinguish the device with the sticker from the device without a sticker?

If we order the new device, with the sticker, does it include the SDK 2.0 S/W burned in?

Please provide us with a link where to buy that device from.

    Hello Danny,

    There is not a new part number for ES2.0 IWR1642 . ES2.0 is the production silicon.

    You can also denote an ES2.0 device from ES1.0 in that ES2.0 will read "502A" in the bottom left corner of the device package while an ES1.0 device will only read "502".

    To see the deltas from ES1.0 for ES2.0 please refer to the device errata sheet on page 4:

    Currently all IWR1642BOOST that are being shipped are ES2.0. A different link is not required: 

    The SDK is not burned in.

    I would also like to clarify that if you already have an ES1.0 IWR1642BOOST you can run the Traffic Monitoring demo in Industrial Toolbox version 2.3.0. There is not a performance improvement in the version released with Industrial Toolbox version 2.3.1+ (this was release to be compatible with SDK2.0/ES2.0).

    If you can provide us with instructions how to download, compile and program the IWR1642BOOST ver 1.0, version 2.3.1 that can save us time.

    Danny,

    To download previous versions including Industrial Toolbox Version 2.3.1, please see the directions below. The, traffic monitoring lab there will have ES1.0 compatible software. You can then either use the pre-built binaries or compile from the CCS project.
