AWR1642BOOST: profile generated mmWave Demo Visualizer is not working

Hi,

I loaded demo binary provided in mmWave SDK into AWR1642BOOST Evaluation kit by using UniFlash. I wrote a python script to communication with AWR1642BOOST through COM ports. I used sample profiles given in mmWave SDK to test my script and it is working fine.

I used mmWave Demo Visualizer to test a configuration which works fine. I saved that configuration as profile.cfg.

Now when I load the profile (generated by the mmWave Demo Visualizer) using my python script the kit fail to start or I get no data.

Consequently, I would like to know if OOB demo and the demo in mmWave are different?

Hi,

Your question is not clear. Do you mean "generated by Sensing Estimator" instead of " generated by mmWave Demo Visualizer"?

The OOB demo has processing limitations which do no exist in the Sensing Estimator.

Hi Cesar,

No, I mean generated by mmWave Demo Visualizer.

Sensing Estimator generates "design.json" and mmWave Demo Visualizer generates "profile.cfg".

Hi,

Not sure if you are aware that one can load a configuration from Demo Visualizer.

Please try to load it and let us know if it works. There may be an issue with your python script for this specific configuration
