CCS/TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Using the BSL switch on the EVM board

Part Number: TDC1000-TDC7200EVM

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Is it possible to utilise the BSL switch on the board for other purposes than to flash the MSP430? I am thinking to sense if it is high or low to run custom code during runtime.

If so, what register should be read?

Thanks!

  • Hello Ramtin,

The BSL switch is not connect to any GPIO pin and it is connected only to the PUR pin. The PUR pin in the MSP430F5528 device is used to invoke the default USB BSL. So we cannot use this switch to any other purpose than to flash the MSP430.
You can populate the J6 and access the GPIO s.
