CCS/AWR1642: Example code to start programming AWR1642EVM

Part Number: AWR1642

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I'm very new to CCS and AWR1642 EVM, and have "2 questions" about their use:

1)  Is it possible to develop a signal processing algorithm in Python then somehow import to CCS? From what I understand CCS runs on C/C++, so I'm not sure if this is possible? If possible, how would it be done? I'm using Python for familiarity with its library resources.

2)  I'm very new to embedding and so looking for suggestions of lab exercises/modules to start programming from scratch. I found some CCS training resources under TI Resource Explorer/Development Tools / Kits and Boards / Integrated Development Environments / Code Composer Studio. Are there other resources available?

Thank you for your help!

  • Hi,

You will need to develop your application in C. Since Python will not be able to run on our device.

CCS is a good place to start. There are may resources on the internet.

You should consider buying one of the inexpensive MCU development platforms to get started

    thank you
    Cesar
