DCA1000EVM: Is it possible to continuously capture without specifying the number of frames?

Part Number: DCA1000EVM

Hi,

From other questions and answers , data binary files must be only one to success replay.
If I increase frames,I must decrease chirps.

Then can I capture, for example, by moving it overnight without specifying the number of frames ?

Since frame is used as the denominator of division, it can not be set 0 ?

  • Hi,

If the number of frame is set to 0, it'll keep running until you press the "Stop Frame" button (which was "Trigger Frame" button previously).
The data will be saved The DCA1000 EVM appends “Raw_n” to the file name given by the user. After 1 GB of capture, the DCA1000 EVM will start capturing the data into another file. Each subsequent file will have the test “Raw_n” appended to the user given filename where n is a number starting from 0.

I haven't run overnight, if you have PC with large hard drive, you can try it. The postproc will take longer with larger size of recorded data.

  • Hi,

    Thank you very much.

At first, I will try it for about 30 minutes.
