AWR1642BOOST-ODS: Specific Frame Timings

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST-ODS
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642

Hello,

I am trying to benchmark certain timings of a frame and I had the following question.

Is it possible to determine the ISR and data path task timings from the BSS and  DSS?

Also, is it possible to have variable frame rate? As in having the AWR1642 send out another chirp only once the previous chirp completes.

Thank you and best regards,

  • Hi,

Are you familiar with the benchmarking infrastructure in the mmWave SDK OOB demo?

Regarding variable frame rate, this feature is not supported in the mmwave SDk OOB demo.

However it would be possible to modify the demo and run one frame at a time. Are you planning to create your custom application?

    thank you
    cesar
  • Hello Ming,
We are not sure about the question of variable frame rate but if you are looking for different frame period on the go then you can look for 'advFrameCfg' CLI command where you can set different period for sub-frames.

For detailed info about this feature, please refer the mmWave SDK (1.2 or 2.0) user guide and mmWaveLink Doxygen document.

Note- ODS application is not being tested with Advanced frame config.

    Regards,
