AWR1642: How much is the minimum RX Sensitivity?

We were calculated the RX link budget to speculate the antenna gain, so we need the minimum rx sensitivity.

Do you provide the minimum rx sensitivity of AWR 1243, 1443 and 1642?

Hello Karl,
From our device point of view we specify the noise figure of our recevier (data available in the datasheet). The exact sensitivity will depend on the detection algorithm used , chirp configuration used etc. , which would vary based on your implementation.
For a reference you can use the sensing estimation tool (dev.ti.com/.../) which allows you to estimate roughly the gains needed based on your requirements.

But we want to know how much the rx sensitivity in your device AWR1642 EVM (AWR1642BOOST ).

Do you give us a range?

Or according your experience, how much the sensitivity in automotive radar?

Hello Karl,
Using our 1642BOOST EVM and using the SRR design (dev.ti.com/.../ we have been able to detect a car at 120m.
If you use AWR1243 kind of device with external processor you can detect much longer range object because of larger IF bandwidth and more memory in the processor.

The sensing estimator tool (dev.ti.com/.../) can give you a better idea about estimating the range .
