OPT3001: INT pin and interrupt reporting

Part Number: OPT3001

Hi Team,

My customer sees OPT3001 has interrupt reporting mechanism (Section 7.3.3). This INT pin puts the system into sleep. May I know how can the system be wake up again? If yes, please explain briefly.

Another question, can OPT3001 operates with Linux system?

Best regards,

Andy Chu

  • Hi Yen,

    1) Are you referring to the OPT3001 going to sleep or the microprocessor going to sleep? From the section you referred to: "The device has an interrupt reporting system that allows the processor connected to the I2C bus to go to sleep,or otherwise ignore the device results, until a user-defined event occurs that requires possible action." this is talking about the microprocessor and not the OPT3001.

    2) Yes, we also have a driver for linux www.ti.com/.../OPT3001SW-LINUX

    Best,

    Alex
