CCS/AWR1642BOOST: adc filling time

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

1.After receiving chirps and conversion into digital form in RF section , how much time it will take to fill the ADC buffer .

2.in the document it is mentioned that each element is 32bit . based on that calculated time for clearing the ADC buffer into dss is .32us for 256 samples (depends on EDMA clock speed). but each adc data is 16 bit , How it is stored in ADC buffer  and what is width of each location in ADC buffer .  please clarify my doubt and provide document link if any.

3.At peak level ie when dss is processing data , RF receives chirps  and MSS sends processed object data all are working , what is the percentage of  IC (processor) computational load or occupancy,

Thanks and regards,

K Subrahmaniam

  • KS,

I would suggest that you kindly review the doxygen page that is created for the mmWave Out-of-the-Box Demo. For SDK 2.0.0.4, this file can be found here:

    C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_02_00_00_04\packages\ti\demo\xwr16xx\mmw\docs\doxygen\html\index.html

Which regards to the computational load, these status can be observed using the web-based OOB Demo Visualizer that can be found here:
    dev.ti.com/.../

There is a graph that displays in real-time the load on the processor.

    Regards,
    Kyle
