AWR1443: About Vertical FOV Issue

Hi Sir 

there are two questions which need your suggestion.

1. can TI mmwave detect people who fall on the ground ? 

2. xWR1443 has TX*3. Does it mean it has good sensitivity in sensing vertical movement? or xWR1642 and xWR1443 has the same sensitivity in sensing vertical movement ?

    Hi,

    The mmWave technology can be used to detect people who fall on the ground. For this application angular resolution is very important. In order to achieve the necessary angular resolution for this application one may need a multi chip solution. An AWR1443 solution which is single chip may not be sufficient.

    The xWR1642BOOST EVM has an antenna with 2Tx which are both used for horizontal information. So there is no vertical sensitivity for the xWR1642BOOST. However, there is a xWR1642BOOST-ODS EVM which provides vertical sensitivity.
