AWR1443: AWR1443 - dynamic range and recovery time

Hello Team,

can you share what is the input dynamic range of the AWR1443 input channels?

In case the signal coming from the antenna would go beyond the maximum input allowed power, what would be the settling time for the input signal chain, till a new valid measure can be read from the ADC?

It is a LIDAR application.
Knowing the Dynamic range would help.
Once you get over the dynamic range you are blind, thus, knowing the settling time after an over stress, it may farther help.
The electronic would take some time to recover from the over stress.

There are various factors that affects the dynamic range of the device.

Hi,

As previously stated the dynamic range of the device is dependent on a few factors
1. TX power
2. Antenna Gain both TX and RX
3. Distance of the object from the antenna
4. Radar cross section of the object etc.

Using the sensing estimator (link below) you can estimate the dynamic range for your particular use case.

Out of the sensing estimator, what would be the parameter that would define/retunr the input dynamic?

regarding the second question, in case you get beyond the allowed dynamic:

what would be the settling time?
