Looking for a fast update rate temperature sensor

Team,

I have a customer looking for a digital temperature sensor with a fast update rate. Ideally, they would like the update rate to be sub 500us. However, update rate is not something I can adjust in the parametric search tool to examine options. Do we have any parts in the portfolio that update at this speed or better?

    Hi Carolus,

    The HDC2010/HDC2080 has <500us conversion time in its 9 and 11 bit modes if you disable humidity. It won't continuously update at this rate. The fastest continuous conversion is 5Hz. You would have to instruct it to start conversion, wait the conversion time, read the result, and finally instruct it to start another conversion.

    I'm interested to hear what this application is. We don't have any other customers looking for this kind of speed. It will come at a cost of accuracy, as it will cause self-heating within the sensor.
