Hello,

I have two design questions, one is according the mmWave Sensing Estimator, could the Max Range for Typical Detectable Object be longer than Maximum Detectable Range?

Questions two is could the distance between two RX antennas be longer than one wavelength?

Hi,

Question 1 - No, Max Detectable Range is the Theoretical Max. Max Range for Detectable Object takes into account losses and will be smaller.

Question 2 - The estimator is supporting only the TI platforms with specific antenna. The distance between two RX Antennaes can't be changed

About question 1, so according as above picture that is example, Maximum Detectable Range is 20 m, but Max Range for Typical Detectable Object is 215.4 m, is it right?

And how should we do to test the azimuth angle resolution?

Hi,

As you can see from the equation, you would have to increase N (= number_Rx_Ant * number _Tx_Ant), This means that you would have to increase the number of Rx or Tx antennae.
