IWR1642BOOST: IWR1642

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, IWR1642,

hello

I am trying to set up the IWR1642 with TSW1400 to collect some raw data.  I am trying to erase the memory for IWR1462boost using uniflash,  I already set up the serial port and SOP 2 .  THe Com port matches the one in device manager  Application USER\ Uart (COM X).  The problem is uniflash gives me this error  ( not able to connect to serial port. choose another port number) .  Please help me in this matter

thank you

  • Hi

Just to verify a few major steps:
To use the uniflash tool, the SOP setting is to have both SOP0 and SOP2 connected.
The COM port number to put into uniflash tool is the Application/User UART port.
Make sure all other cables are disconnected except the power and USB cables on the BOOST board.

If still not working, try pressing the reset button on IWR1642 EVM after power cycle.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Michelle
  • I have updated the SOP0 and SOP2 and didnot work and I resetted the IWR1642 and still not working

    need you help

    thanks
  • Here's what I would do:

Power cycle PC, disconnect all other USB connections.

IWR1642BOOST: make sure not connected to devPack, only connect USB and power cord. SOP0 and SOP2 jumpers connected

Power on BOOST, check on PC the Device Manager and Port to see if you see both Application UART and Data UART.

    Reset BOOST EVM

Start uniflash, put in the COM port # as listed as Application UART, reprogram FLASH

If still not working, re-check if the UART  port is still listed under Device Manager.

If none of the above helps, try a different PC or different BOOST if available.

Let me know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Michelle
