MMWAVE-DEVPACK: AWR1443BOOST distance and positioning angle range for vital sign detection

Part Number: MMWAVE-DEVPACK

Hi Champs,

my customer is in evaluation of the AWR1443BOOST for vital sign observation of driver and co-driver in cars. Goal is to measure heart rate.

The document in mmWave Sensors and the Industrial Toolbox -v:2.1.2. instructs to put the module in front of the driver directly.

The question that came up is:

What is our experience/assumptions if the sensor is moved further to the right about 50cm away from direct position at 50cm distance to drivers body?

In this case the sensor would sends beams out hitting the human body with an angle of 45 degrees.

Can we share such experiences?

Many thanks,

Thorsten
