AWR1642: AWR1642 CAN FD Transfer

Dear~

I have a customer ,now he wants to know Whether the CAN FD on AWR1642 CAN be directly connected to the CAN of the external system or whether it needs to be converted by other devices.

If it needs to coverted others Transceiver，do you have any recommendation?

    Hello Fany,

    The CAN FD on AWR1642 can be configured to send out Classic CAN messages so that it works like a CAN interface.  However the CANFD-PHY (tranceiver) is is external to the AWR1642. We have used the "TCAN1042HGVDRQ1" transceiver on the AWR1642BOOST . You can refer to our AWR1642BOOST schematic for the details on the circuit.

    Using this configuration it can be connected directly to the CAN of external system.
