Hello,

Is there any units for the amplitude (y-axis) in the range profile/range fft plot? What is the amplitude of the transmitted chirps? I want to find out a threshold to determine whether the reflected signal strength is strong.

Hello Yun,
Could you clarify which application are you using to view the FFT plot ? is it the mmw application or mmwave studio you are using? The Y axis indicates the ADC signal amplitude, either in dB scale or linear scale.
The typical transmit o/p is 12dBm from the device.

If I want to convert the linear scale to dB scale, should I use 10*log10(x) or 20*log10(x)?
