AWR1642BOOST: Strange doppler heatmap display with SRR.cfg in mmW demo visualizer

Hi team,

I want to display SRR heatmap, but I met a strange issue that doppler-heatmap doesn't show properly.

When I zoom in over 60 meter, it will show below picture.

SDK: mmwave_sdk_02_00_00_04

mmWave Demo Visualizer: 2.0.0

Do you know how to fix the problem?

Hi Weks,

You cannot use the 'mmwave Demo visualizer' with the SRR demo. I'd recommend that you modify the matlab-based visualizer and have it plot the 2D-FFT output. Both demos were developed independently of each other.

That being said, I think you are getting a valid plot in the visualizer (though the axes are invalid). Just check if the information you are providing the visualizer is correct - in the case of the SRR subframe - you should be providing only transferring only 64 (doppler bins) * 256 (range bins) samples.

Hi Anil,

I know, so I modified the mmW demo Visualizer to support SRR demo.
I suppose the doppler-range heatmap of SRR demo is same as mmW demo, is it right?

I will check the data again.

Hi Weks,

That is correct. There was no change between the doppler-range heatmap of the SRR demo, and the mmw demo.
