IWR1443BOOST: UniFlash load image problem (Fluid Level Transmitter)

Part Number: IWR1443BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi,

Once I load the images from UniFlash, I am having some difficulties loading Config from PC and Send from mmWave Fluid level transmitter app.

It worked initially but whenever I restart, the signal wouldn't be read by the device.

I tried disconnecting the device but then, it requires to reload the image.  At that point, UniFlash would freeze as shown below.

Please help me resolve two of the mentioned issues: 1) loading Config 2)  preventing failure when reloading image from UniFlash.

  Thanks,

DJ

  • Hello,
Please make sure that you have put the jumpers on SOP2 & SOP0 and then power cycle the board before invoking the UniFlash.

And further could you clearify more (in the steps) about your statement 'whenever I restart, the signal wouldn't be read by the device.'

  • Yeah, I had felt that issue too. Some times it gets freeze. You need to see two most important step
    1) Right Com Port is selected in Settings & Utilities
    2) Press Reset button before flashing the device.

If you still get the error so here is what I did but this is temporarely and inefficient. Restart Uniflash and follow 1 and 2.
  • Hi Laxmi,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did check the Com Port number. In my case, it was COM4 when I check from DeviceManager.

What do you mean by 'press reset button' though?

  • Jitendra,

Yes, I did put the jumpers on SOP2 & SOP0, then power cycled the board.

What I meant by 'whenever I restart, the signal wouldn't be read by the device' is

    1) Once I unplug the power button or turn off UniFlash, the program would continue giving me the error message unless I restart the computer.
    2) Even after restarting the computer, UniFlash wouldn't load images properly.

  • Hi DJ,

For a fool-proof plan you should apply power and then insert the USB cable. The error in your screenshot most commonly occurs when the SOP0 and SOP2 jumpers have not been applied appropriately.
