IWR1642BOOST: Getting flat respiration and heart rate in driver vital signs GUI

Hey,

I'm trying to run Driver Vital Sign example from mmWave Automotive toolbox.

But, in spite of respiration and heart rate curves I'm getting following flat output, even after staying still for minutes I don't get any fluctuations.

Hey, You might need to restart the Gui. It is notable to bring it here that once you press start in the application, you might get wiered data if you again start after Pause or Stop. So follow these steps and see if it solves your issue.
1) Close GUI completely
2) Reset Your MCU
3) Start GUI and do necessary settings if needed

This should work surely.

Please make sure you have positioned the sensor correctly according to the documentation provided for this lab.

Hey Kyle, Thanks for reaching me.

As for your answer, I am using support clamps provided by TI to place it on table and I am sitting at a proximity of half meters.
As I went through documentation, I learned that it takes around 15 seconds or more to get stabilized output.

But, still no luck. I tried to power cycle the board and restart GUI, but its not helping.

So,

After some tweaking around in gui, I got a fine Respiration and Heart waveform.

And finally pre-compiled version is working for IWR1642.
