Hi,

I was hoping that reducing the azimuth to 15 degrees or zero would give me similar results as to using a lens?

Is this correct?

I am using the IWR1443BOOST with the high accuracy lab. My intention is to measure fluid level in a water tank. Another application of mine is to just measure the closest object in a straight line in front of the sensor.

Hi Jason,

Unfortunately this isn't going to be possible without a lens or otherwise custom antenna design.

Does setting the azimuth as low as possible reduce clutter from the environment? or am i misunderstanding the azimuth? I just want to measure the distance of an object in a straight line in front of the sensor. Am i correct in setting the azimuth to zero?

Since the sensor radiates over a field, the radiation pattern is not adjustable.
