IWR1443: About the QSPI Flash device supported by IWR1443

Part Number: IWR1443

Hi,

I have a question about QSPI Flash supported by IWR 1443.
According to the following thread it is stated that the current ROM boot loader only supports Spansion and Macronix memory.

However, I would like to use IS25LP016D-JBLE(ISSI).
Does the ES3.0 chip support this QSPI Flash? also please let me know the QSPI Flash device that you plan to support.

Best Regards,
H.U

  • For the xWR1642 ES2.0 Devices and xWR1243/xWR1443 ES3.0 Devices, there are several factors that determine if the device ROM bootloader can interface and work with the serial flash on the devices.

    Pre-requisite is:

    1) Flash device should meet the timing and interfacing requirements over QSPI interface specified in the datasheet.

    2) SFLASH supports the SFDP command and responds with JEDEC-compliant information regarding the

capabilities and command set of the flash.

In addition to writing to the flash, the ROM bootloader also supports setting the “Quad Enable” bit for

Spansion and Macronix variants (certain specific part variants only).

Below are the tested Flash Variants

    Thanks and regards,
