To Whom It May Concern,

I purchased an AWR1243BOOST with the intent of evaluating the long-range radar system and the understanding that that evaluation kit had everything it needed (including a demo UI) in order to test and evaluate the product. It seems I May have misinterpreted documentation or marketing language.

Can anyone recommend the most efficient way to get started evaluating the performance/output of the AWR1243 component using an evaluation board? I deleted everything I had previously downloaded and I am ready to start from scratch.

Ben,

I would recommend starting with the mmWave-DFP that includes our software evaluation tool.

mmWave DFP: www.ti.com/.../MMWAVE-DFP

mmWave Studio: www.ti.com/.../MMWAVE-STUDIO

In order to use these software tools, you will need to obtain a mmWave-DevPack so mmWave Studio can communicate with the AWR1243BOOST. That or you can use a DCA1000.

Ben,

Please read through the mmWave DFP User Guide that is included in the docs folder of the DFP installation. This will walk you through the process of using the mmWave-DevPack and the AWR1243BOOST.
