TDC1000: Problem in getting an echo pulse

Hi,

We are working on a water flow meter using an ultrasonic transducer. I am using TDC1000 and TDC7200 IC's but unable to get an echo pulse.

I have mounted the transducer in V shape.
and able to get the transmitter burst properly.
but unable to get a start and stop pulses.

kindly help to attain the pulses if possible and any suggestions to get better results.

Hello Vidya,

Please check if the Enable is pulled low & then high once the device is powered on.
Also send me a screen shot of the GUI, I would like to check your settings to see if we are missing anything in this setup.

Hi Bharat,

I didn't get about GUI. I am just using TDC1000 and TDC7200 IC and interfaced with Arduino as the controller for the water flow meter application.

Vidya,

We cannot support the interface of TDC1000 and TDC7200 ICs with Arduino. Let us know if you have similar issues when you use the device with an MSP430F4429 as communication interface. We do have a few EVMs for the same in ti.com.

You can also try our MSP430 based ultrasonic water flow sensing solution as in the link below:
