IWR1443: Pins are not in use

Part Number: IWR1443

Hi Joe,

I found in datasheet table 4-1 shows “DEFAULT PULL STATUS” for some pins.

If I understood correctly, these pulls are applied automatically after device power up.
Then no external pulls are needed for these pins.
In previous answer, SPI_CS_1, SPI_CLK_1, MOSI_1 were pull required, but in fact they are not. Correct?

Thanks and regards,
KoT

  • The SPI interface is a slave device for the mmwave sensor. These pins are driven by the Host Processor. Table 4-2 in the datasheet lists these as weak pullup-ups. The MSS Boot ROM is used to set the PAD IO Registers listed in Table 4-2. Some designers want to override the IO pullup control with hardware. The recommendation is to follow the EVM design, and then on your testing to determine if some resistors can be removed.
