DCA1000EVM: What is the meaning of this error message about HDSC Pro?

Hi,

I use DCA1000EVM and IWR1443BOOST(ES2.0).

At Frame section of Sensor Config tab,
I set No of Frame is 4098,and No of Chirp Loops is 128.
I push Set button.
The following message appeared:

"Error Type: # More than 32000000 samples per real chain have been programmed for collection through LVDS. HSDC Pro has only 500MB of RAM"

I do not want to take data with the above frame and chirp.
I want to know the meaning of the error message.

Because I think that DCA1000EVM doesn't need  HDSC Pro. It is not installed. I recognize it as a tool only for TWS1400.

  • Could you confirm that you have selected DCA1000 checkbox and setup it from mmWave Studio GUI (left pan window).

    Thank you very much.

    I thought whether to press "SetUp DCA 1000"  only once after install.

    I confirm the user guide and I will press it every time. However, there was a problem when it was the guide order.

    Can I think that there is no problem if I press the button every time at the timing of [2] following?

    [1].When I pushed the button as order by P23 of mmwave_studio_user_guide.pdf,
    this error message was displayed in log windows.

    "ConnectRFDCCard Status: RFDCCARD_UDP_WRITE_ERR"

    But this order requests to push "Set up DCA1000" after Frame set button,
    then the error message of HDSC pro cann't be aboided.

    1.I start mmwave studio.

    2.I push SetUp DCA1000 twice,because at first error.

    6.When I push "Set" of Frame,
    the error message of HDSC pro is none.(Good Effect.)

  • Hello,
    You can do the "Setup DCA1000" just once before you trigger the frames. You should not do it before you do the UART connect.
