How to flash out of the box demo in AWR1642BOOST?

  • Krishna,

To flash pre-compiled binaries, you should use TI's Uniflash tool that can be found here: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Category:CCS_UniFlash

  • Thanks Kyle.
    And sorry for the delay.
But how can i know what bin files my board AWR1642BOOST RevA can support?
Since i wanted to flash Out of the box demo.bin on my board, i asked this doubt.
    Thanks in advance.
  • Krishna,

You will need to read the device markings on your chip to determine which silicon version that you have. If the bottom line on the chip reads "502", then you have an ES 1.0 device. If the bottom line on the chip reads "502AC", then you have an ES 2.0 device. You will need to cross reference this information with the release notes to see which silicon version is supported.

If you have an ES 1.0 device, then you should download SDK v1.2.

If you have an ES 2.0 device, then you should download SDK v2.0.

For any of the labs found in either the automotive toolbox or the industrial toolbox, you will need to double check the release notes to make sure your device is able to run a particular lab based on the SDK version it is based off. You have the option to download previous versions of both the automotive and industrial toolbox. Please search this forum to understand how to do this as this question has been addressed already.

    Kyle
