RTOS/AWR1642BOOST: Confused about txOutpowerBackoffCode

What exactly does the following configured parameter affect?

rlUInt32_t	txOutPowerBackoffCode
	Concatenated code for output power backoff for TX0, TX1, TX2 b7:0 TX0 output power back off b15:8 TX1 output power back off b23:16 TX2 output power back off b31:24 Reserved

It says that bits 0-7 are reserved for TX0 output power backoff, but what is the significance of the value I enter into that field? The default value is 0, but if I increase that number to 255 (TX0 output power back off maximum) then how does this affect the waveform?

The following information is taken from the AWR1xx_Radar_Interface_Control document.

The output power backoff values designate the power back off that can be sent to each individual transmitter. The valid values are 0, 3, 6, and 9. Additionally the LSB corresponds to 1 dB.

Please refer to the Radar ICD for more detailed information on power backoff values.

Thanks for the help Kyle. Just a follow-up question, where did you find this document? So far, I gathered most of my documents from www.ti.com/.../technicaldocuments but the Radar Interface Control document isn't in there. Essentially, I would just like there to be one place where all of the technical documentation for the AWR1642 is, I don't understand why it is scattered about.

This document can be found as part of the DFP (Device Firmware Package) installation. You can find it here: www.ti.com/.../MMWAVE-DFP. It will be located in the docs folder.
