Select the correct current sensing for my application

Dear all,

I'm looking for a current sensing solution able to measure a sinusoidal 100A amplitude current at f=85kHz.

Are there any ICs for this kind of application?

Thank You.

Gio.

  • Hello Fabio,

Thanks considering to use Texas Instruments in your design.  Alot of our devices can handle that frequency and our website actually gives you the ability to filter out products in the product search according to bandwidth as shown in the figure below.  From this search tool you can further reduce your options by putting in your expected common mode voltage and supply voltage.  Depending on your minimum current resolution, you may further reduce your possible options as for all current shunt monitor devices will have increased measurement error with lower current measurements.  If you are new to current sensing, I would recommend watching the following tutorial videos.
