OPT8241: How to drive constant current?

Hello, I'm Dahwan Park and graduate student.

I have one question about opt8241's LD board.

It uses TPS2559 for current driving which is power distribution switch. I think LD's power should not oscillate, but TPS2559 is not current regulator. Therefore, I wonder how to drive current constanly. I think Pin diode and Zeanr diode work as limiting max viltage. Do PIN diode and Zenar Diode help to drive current constantly?

    Hi,

    TPS2559 functions as a current limiter. So if the supply voltage would make the load take more current than allowed by TPS2559's current limit, TPS2559 will just limit the current to its set current limit. This way, it functions as a current regulator.
