AWR1243: Can Warm Reset be left floating if unused

Hi, Can warm_reset (pin N12) be left floating if we have no plans to use it on the AWR1243? If not, what voltage should it be pulled up to? Thanks -

Any word yet? Also, for the 40 (or 50) MHz clock, is that needed for the AWR to respond to SPI commands for initialization? We aren't seeing any response when the radar SDK software writes to the device via SPI. Thanks -

Hi Victor,

The WARM_RESET pin cannot be left floating. At a minimum it should be connected through pull-up to the supply powering the VIOIN pin R13.

Regarding your clock input question. Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but are you asking if the device needs a 40/50Mhz clock source before SPI communication is active?

The 40/50MHz clock input is the clock source for all digital and RF clock domains on the design. So it must be present for the device to even finish initialization. Likewise it is required to be present for the SPI peripheral to be active.
