IWR1642BOOST: People Count: Matlab issues

Hi,

I am trying to run the People Count program. I am able to successfully flash it to my device but when I run it i get the following error(s).

My device is ES 1.0 and I am using industrial toolbox 2.3.0.

I also have the required MATLAB runtime installed.

Hi Akash,

You did not post any errors.

Ensure you power-cycled the device and removed SOP2 after flashing.

Hi Akash,

I was able to reproduce your error by clicking "Select File" then selecting "Use Default". This bug has been fixed in the 2.5.2 release of the GUI - which can be used with the 2.3.0 firmware. However, the default config from 2.5.2 may not be compatible with the ES1.0 device.

If you restart the GUI, click "Connect" then click "Start", this will work as well.

So, since my device is ES1.0, I need to flash the 2.3.0 firmware on it but use the 2.5.2 GUI instead to see the plot?
Also, what do you mean by the default config not being compatible with ES1.0 . Is it the chirp setting that you are talking about?

You can use either the 2.3.0 GUI or 2.5.2 GUI. The default chirp configuration in the 2.5.2 GUI may not be compatible with the ES1.0 device. The 2.3.0 GUI can be used, ensure that if you intend to use the default chirp, there is a bug that occurs if you select "Select File" then select "Use Default" which causes the GUI to fail.
