DCA1000EVM: Where is FPGA binary to be flashed

Part Number: DCA1000EVM

Hi,

I`m working with 9 FPGA Programming in SPRUIJ4 (I`m trying this because I`m failing to detect FPGA version of DCA1000 via ethernet ... I searched the suggestions in e2e, but unfortunately, no luck).

The guide says :

c. Select the bit file from the following path:
/DCA1001EVM_TP_REL/FPGA/DCA1001_FPGA_RECORD_xx_yy.bit file in the programming file
option. (xx -> Version No, yy -> Release Date).

I`m getting stuck at this part. Where can i find this binary ? Can you share ?

Best Regards,
NK

  • Hello Naoki,

    The file is located at:

    C:\ti\mmwave_studio_01_00_00_00\mmWaveStudio\DCA1000FPGA

    Regards,

    Adrian
  • Hi Adrian,

Thanks for your information. I succeeded to update the FPGA. Now my colleague succeeded to evaluate IWR with DCA1000 and mmWaveStudio on the updated setup. But i still failed to fetch the FPGA version via ethernet cable even if i used exactly same HW setup (same DCA1000/IWR chip/same AC adapter and ethernet cable). The output log from mmwaveStudio  looked like this:

    [10:10:02] ConnectRFDCCard Status: RFDCCARD_UDP_WRITE_ERR
[10:10:02] Ethernet Cable is disconnected Please check.....!!!

The difference between us is only PC, but I`m pretty sure that my machine side setup (pre-defined ip address=192.168.33.30, mmWaveStudio instructions to launch its evaluation) is all correct. Do you have any suggestion for network configuration at PC side including security or something like "tricky" part ? Please note we are using win10 64bit on the machine.

    Best Regards,
    NK

  • Hi,

A typical issue with Ethernet is the firewall setting. Please make sure to enable mmwave studio Ethernet access in firewall setting.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Michelle
  • Hi Michelle,
I relaxed my firewall configurations and that actually made it work! Thanks for your suggestion.
