AWR1642BOOST: a static object is measured to have velocity

hi:

I try to detect a static (v = 0) object using AWR1642. My mmw sensor is also fixed. The distance d between the object and sensor is about 3m.
Strangely, the experimental results show that the velocity of the object is greater than 2km/hr. Howerver, for the case d > 8m, the estimated velocity is almost equal to 0km/hr. 

I am not sure that what factors result in this problem. Could someone explain this strange thing?

    Hello,

    Can you provide more details regarding your experiment? What software are you using? The out of box SDK demo (OOB demo)? What is the object?

    Generally this is not an error we see. If you use the OOB demo, the Doppler-Range Plot should show static object along the 0m/s line.
