Compiler/IWR1443: Is it possible using demo visualizer to select window function for FFT?

Hi,

Now, we have IWR1443 and IWR1642. We want to add different window functions to these boards before doing FFT. Is it possible to add different window functions in the source code (.c files) and select which window function we want to use in demo visualizer?

We want to select the window function when we using demo visualizer to configure the device. Is it possible to modify both source code and javascript code to realise that?

That's doable. Both source code and visualizer java script needs to be modified.

Hi Michelle,

We are using mmwave_sdk_01_02_00_05, and we want to realise this function for both IWR1443 and IWR1642 (ES 1.0).

Jaidi,

For xwr14xx, mmw/data_path.c and mmw/mmw_cli.c need to be modified.
For xwr16xx, mmw/dss/dss_data_path.c and mmw/mss/cli.c need to be modified.

For visualizer, the main code is in mmwave.js. But if you want to add button and selector, you'll need to directly add on the GUI and that'll change the index.gui file.

Jiadi,

The fft functions was called in mmwave.js and it was used to do a fft computation when AzimuthHeatMap is turned on. 2D-FFT symbols are sent for each range bin at 0 doppler and in visualizer, Azimuth fft is applied to symbols for each range bin and a static heat map is constructed.
