AWR1642BOOST: Advice on heart waveform from Vital Signs lab

My customer is using Vital Signs lab (mmwave_automotive_toolbox_1_2_0) on AWR1642. They made python script based on information of the following thread:

However the waveform doesn't look like heart waveform. They may mistake something or may need data processing (LPF, HPF, etc). Can you please give us your advices? First, I would like to send the data via e-mail. They don't want to post the data to E2E.

Hi Ken,
I would recommend to get the referenec from existing Visualizer source code provided along with Vital-sign demo (from TI-Rex).
When you download this demo from TI-Rex, you can find GUI source 'C:\ti\mmwave_automotive_toolbox_2_1_2\labs\lab0001-driver-vital-signs\vitalSigns_host\gui\gui_source'.
This file (mainwindow.cpp) has the UART COM read and conversion, please look into this file to make an equivalent implemetation at python script.

Hi Jitendra,

Thank you for your feedback. We looked into the file but were not able to find any processing for heart waveform in mainwindow.cpp. It just reads data as floating point and plot a graph using the data. It would be nice if you review our data and graph. If you are okay, I can send it to you via e-mail.

Can you please provide more details about the purpose of the python script?

Is the python script reading the vital signs target data that comes from UART?

The pyton script is for data format conversion from dataOutputFromEVM.bin to csv. If you are okay, we can share the script, dataOutputFromEVM.bin and csv file to you via e-mail.
