Hi I'm doing a senior design project which will implement radar antennas mounted onto a bicycle and monitor traffic from the rear. The goal is to be able to detect distance, speed, and direction of the approaching vehicles in order to alert the rider of an imminent collision as well as display the vehicles on an LED matrix mounted on the front. My question is would this development kit be a good choice for the sensing/monitoring portion of my project?

    Hi,

    The kit should enable you to run the mmwave SDK demo. this demo will be able to detect. distance and speed of approaching vehicles.

    The demo uses UART communication with a PC for configuration and data output.

    If you are planning to mount this on a bicycle as part of your project, you would have to think about how you will interface with the UART with the LED matrix
