HI,

I want to drive 8 TDC-1011 by hardwiring the SPI interface pins to a single micro controller for configurating programming. Will there be any problem or do I need to use a buffer in between to enhance drive capability? Please help me.

Sundararajan,

It is better to have a buffer to enhance the drive capability. Please refer the schematic of TDC1000-TDC7200EVM for an idea on the buffer connectivity.

Thanks Mr. Bharat. Actually, I am running short of space to accommodate more ics at this point. Hence. if there is any specification available on the SPI line drive currents it will help me to study and decide. If not, I will have to modify my housing design to accommodate these additional buffers.

Sundararajan,

We do not know how much capacitive load each of the SPI lines can carry. You can try to reduce the SPI frequency for communication and try to run it.
