PGA970: S1P/S1N/S2P/S2N VCM pull-up impedance

Hi,

We couldn't find anywhere in the datasheet the information about the pull-up resistance to VCM that is present on the S1P/S1N/S2P/S2N inputs when the VCM is activated.

We did a measurement and we think it is around 25kohm.

However we can't rely on measurement data, we would need some more official information along with the min/max values to ensure our design is valid in worst case conditions.

Hi Clément,

In my initial response I misunderstood which pullups you were asking about. I removed the response to avoid confusion. I will look into the VCM biasing pullups and get back to you.

Hi Clément,

The resistance is determined by the switch used to control the biasing. It has a range of 5.4kohm to 21.5kohm with a nominal value of 10.4kohm.

So it depends also of the VCM selected value ?

Or is it just the switch itself whatever the VCM ?

Hello Clément,

It is independent of the VCM selected value. The switch itself determines the resistance, and is most affected by temperature (higher resistance at higher temperature).
