How do I get access to the aux and application uart, from the 2 20 pin connectors on the board, I would like to interface a wifi chip

  • Hello,
On the IWR1xxx BOOST EVM, they are based on the Launchpad Processor MSP430, and Boosterpack sensor or additional function board concept.
If your Wifi interface, I would look for the Simple-Link MSP430 Launchpad, or an MSP430 Launchpad, and CCxxxx RF transceiver Booster pack.
The modules can be stacked together.

The IWR1xxxx Mmwave sensor needs to be on the top of the board stack, due to the RF antenna.,

Typically the MSP430 communicates with the IWR1xxx Mmwave sensor over 4 wire SPI (mmwave sensor is a slave). There is also a Host Interrupt GPIO output back to the MSP430. You can view the schematics, and User Guide for TIDEP-0091 ans an illustration of the MSP432 to IWR1xxx sensor.
