AWR1243BOOST: MSS/BSS FW and SPI over Ethernet

Hi,

We wondered the following two questions regarding firmware and communications:

  1. Is there any possibility to write or download once both the MSS and BSS images into the flash, not needing redownload them again in each reset? Which is the command, procedure or way of doing so? The flash memory seems to be non-volatile, and we do not know why we need to flash after each reset.
  2. Is at TI any group working with SPI communication through Ethernet? (Right now, there is an USB communication supported). In that case, could it be possible to obtain this driver to communicate through Ethernet?

    Gorka,

    There are no plans at this time to implement SPI communication over Ethernet.

    If you are using mmWave Studio, then you are simply flashing the basic functional firmware onto the device. mmWave Studio should be looked at as an RF evaluation platform and not an application platform.
