RTOS/AWR1642BOOST: QSPIFlash_open failure in SDK2.0

Hi E2E,

I have implementing QSPIFlash for AWR1642, its fail in API QSPIFlash_open, even not return any error values. The implementation sequence referred with example "C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_02_00_00_04\packages\ti\drivers\qspiflash\test\xwr16xx". Similar implementation has done successfully on SDK1.1.

Does any other way to open it or any hardware changes are necessary.

Madan,

Are you using the AWR1642BOOST EVM or a custom board? If you have an ES 1.0 device on your AWR1642BOOST, then you would not be able to use SDK 2.0 with this EVM.

I am using AWR1642BOOST ES2.0 EVM, no customization.

I'm also follow step from docs "www.ti.com/.../swra583.pdf" for AWR1642BOOST ES2.0 EVM on SDK 2.0 and SDK 2.1. its print the error "Error: Unable to open the QSPI Instance".

Are you trying to open it on the DSS or MSS? The QSPI is contained in the MSS domain. And your initialization calls should not be placed in main(), but rather in the init task, where the other peripherals are initialized.

I'm trying to open in CLI section (util/cli/cli.c) inside CLI_task, storing chirp config in QSPI while first flash. On every power cycle, loading from it. Similar implementation has done on SDK 1.1.

Also I'm tried to open in MSS section, not in main(), same issue still there.

Hi Madan,

There is no downside to opening the driver as shown in the white paper. It will still be available when needed.

I'm not clear. what is downside opening? Suppose I'm following your white paper, where I can open this driver?
