Is there a way to interface the PGA411-A1 with a different controller than the MSP430 by using the PGA411EVM?

Or is there a different board version that would allow this?

You can jumper in wires to connect to the SPI lines.

thanks for the reply! Is there a way to deactivate the onboard uC and interfacing an external ECU via the J11 Jumper?

Basil,

Yes, although some board rework is necessary. You can either:

- remove the level translators on the EVM, then use J11 to connect to the SPI lines.
- re-work the board to keep the level translators in the High-Z state. (through the level translator enable signal)
