PGA460: Pull-up or pull-down resistor on SCLK pin.

Part Number: PGA460

Hi Everyone,

If I used asynchronous-UART, does TI also not recommend leaving the SCLK pin floating ?

  • Hi Kathy,
If synchronous-UART (SPI) mode is used, then SCLK will be connected to a clock pin. In all other communication modes including asynchronous-UART, one-wire UART, and Time Cammand Interface, the SCLK pin should be pulled-low to ground through a 10kOhm resistor.
