TMP112: TMP112

Hi Benoit,

We won't be able to change the datasheet specifications, but I can tell you the typical active current is 45uA for TMP112.

If you're only interested in power consumption, I recommend using TMP1075 instead. It has about a 5x reduction in conversion time with similar Iq.

If you need the accuracy that TMP112 offers, you could also consider TMP116. However, with this device you would want to disable averaging to get a 15.5ms conversion time and reduce average power consumption.

Thank you for your fast and clear answer.
I would have preferred a worse case conversion current but I think I will use your answer for typical current and use 100uA as worse case current ( I could determine from the spec that some other specification would not hold if this value was greater than 100uA )
As for TMP1075 anf TMP116, thank you also for the suggestion. TMP116 is quite interesting but won't go down to 1.8V.

TMP117 is from the same family as TMP116, but offers 1.8V operation and 0.1C accuracy. The price is a bit higher at this level of accuracy, so that's why I didn't mention it before.

Thanks for this new suggestion.
Price was already an issue with TMP116.
So I feel OK with TMP112 provided measurement is strictly lower than 100uA.
