Customer is looking for a cap sensor solution that can adjust the CNC drill with 0-20mm accroding to the sensor feedback signal. Is any FDC series able to support this application? Could you advice if any!! thanks.

    The FDC2212 or the LDC1612 are the most likely devices able to address this need. There are a few things to be aware of though:

    1.) There will be drift over temperature and from device to device. This makes it difficult for precision measurements.
    2.) A reference channel will be required to help compensate for the drift.
    3.) The noise floor will depend on the sampling speed. A slower sampling speed will be better.
